Strictly control the use of additives
The tertiary amine catalyst used in the production process of polyurethane foam will bring a strong odor and fog on the inner window of the car. We can find substitutes for these amines and use polyhydroxy compounds. Polyhydroxy compounds are not only polyurethane molecules. The components of the chain also have catalytic activity. Some polyhydroxy compounds can even replace half of the tertiary amine catalyst. As a result, the odor of injection molded products is reduced.
2. Choose a purer resin
In many plastic molds, especially in polyvinyl chloride, styrene, polyethyl acetate and acrylic esters, the residual trace monomers will produce unpleasant odors. It is better to use odorless resins.
3. Pay attention to the use of adsorbent
If a small amount of zeolite is filled in the polymer, it can remove the material smell. Zeolite has a lot of crystalline voids, and these voids can capture small gas molecules with odors.
